About the story:

Byron Thorn is a young faun with a talent for trouble. And trouble is what he finds on Midwinter’s Eve when he sneaks a look at the Old Centaur’s mysterious basins. A hidden plan begins to unfold, the Quickling is revealed, and the spells of the ancestors ignite.
